On behalf of the American Mensa Committee, I’m proud to announce the selection of Trevor Mitchell as American Mensa’s new Executive Director.
The AMC is thrilled with this choice — the leadership Trevor has demonstrated is just what Mensa needs as we continue to search for ways to increase the value of Mensa membership and attract new and diverse members into our family.
After Pam Donahoo’s resignation announcement last October, the AMC appointed a Transition Committee to evaluate the different hiring scenarios and, after a combination of surveys, interviews with the volunteer leadership, and a thorough skills assessment, we’re confident we made the right choice.
A Certified Association Executive since 2012, Trevor has long been active in association management. And his career in the industry has illustrated his commitment to proactive, informed, and strategic decision making.
Mensa has unlimited potential for growth — not only in terms of membership numbers but in the value we find in our memberships — and I know that Trevor’s experience and eagerness will help us realize our mission to identify and foster intelligence for the benefit of society.
