In our first face-to-face meeting since the pandemic, nine people attended. Beyond gratifying, it seemed to reflect peoples’ desire for social interaction again. The time and conversations were amazing, as we learned about people in ways that went well beyond that day’s events. Some wore masks during the coffee time, and some did not. But it was universally good to see everyone.
In honesty, we did not expect as large a crowd (or as noisy a venue — it was difficult to communicate more than two people away). Perhaps a subsequent one will simply find us bringing a container of coffee to a public park. We’ll likely schedule another event for a subsequent month.
